A brand new building
The design of the kindergarten meets the rigorous standards set by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health. It has been carefully developed by Taupō-based architect Roy Renwick in partnership with Central Kids, who will operate the facility.
The building will remain in community ownership through the Kinloch Families Trust.
While the Kindy will be the main tenant, the plan includes separate meeting spaces for other community uses, so it is truly a multi-purpose community building. The build will meet Civil Defence specifications so it can offer backup emergency response capability.
At 300m², what is affectionately known as "the kindy" has been thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, purpose-built environment for children, while also serving as a valuable community building for Kinloch.
